The road of destiny

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

– Albert Einstein

The more knowledge we have, the more we have the better and more valid arguments. But why we must know everything if we can’t feel the real world, if we do not have our own perception? Is it worth to get lost in books and in imagination of others? To forget to create your own world? To get to live only thru thinking of those who used their imagination?

What you can create through your own way of thinking, shows more intelligence. When you create, you make connections, you establish relationships and you are really involved. Then you’re human. Not when you learn and you say word by word what others have imagined. The human mind can do more, can have anything, but it needs imagination and creation.

To live in your own world, away from civilization and common things… To stand out thru what you understood, it’s great. It helps you to find your path. To pave your road of destiny with what you want. Why would you want to go on roads already built?

  1. Everyone finds its own path in its own way! There are no rules! Sometimes you might still not find what you are looking for! Great piece for our hungry minds! Hugs!

  2. The day of technology has robbed so many of the initiative to live life, Monica. We were born to create in our own uniqueness and to build upon the foundation of who we are. Sadly too many don’t know who they are because they follow so many voices which tell them who to be. For those of us who have fought hard to discover who we are and then to live that, Bravo I say! Great post, dear Monica!!! LOVED it! ❤

  3. I agree totally dear Monica, knowledge should be applied and intelligence should be used to create something out of it our own way. At school..I always wished for teachers to encourage us to develop our own perception, thinking rather than cramming all that was given in books. Great post as always. Xx 😊 ❤

  4. “Why go on roads already built”? A good question. Very good. To go outside the existing path, you need to see the existing path first, and then, maybe, chose to go outside the path. Existing roads are… just practical. A shortcut to what has already been done. Which may or may not be… worth it. Once you learn bout Socrates’ Beauty, Truth and Good, it’s with you forever. You might reinvent it yourself, on your own, but it took Socrates a lifetime (and the lives of all Pre-Socratic thinkers) to come up with such a simple, magic definition of the world: all is either beautiful (or ugly), true (or false), good (or bad). 😉
(And then once we have understood that path we can move on further. )
A lovely walk through Life, my dear “Monique”.

    • I don’t want to be a copycat. Someone said that if you think great the odds to have a beautiful life are higher. And, in the end, I think that in life it’s about imagination, exactly like Einstein said. Socrates sounds good, too. Sometimes you must have the courage to seek for that path. Because some people (many people) are complacent with what they have and do not want to change that.

      • Absolutely. Complacency is endemic in the human race. 😦 And do not worry: you will not be a copycat. No risk of that. In an old movie set in the Hymalaya, someone asked: “what is the best way to cross the mountain?”. “The hardest way.”
The hardest way is also the most rewarding. 🙂
(But it’s all right to take an easy way from time to time) 😉
