N.A. Are aproape 1,5 m înălțime și 1 m lățime.
In its eyes, you could read the willingness to transform dreams into reality
I wonder… Can we always create stories? Can we give life to any object? I try to create a story for my last drawing… And the story sounds like this:
“Once upon a time, it was a bird, a warrior of freedom that roams the heavens and dreams, the seas and reveries, the Earth and desires. This bird used to open its wings to travel the world far and wide to bring hope. In its eyes, you could read the willingness to transform dreams into reality. You could read the vision of a future full of light… It was a symbol of tranquility, love, purity, but like any light, it had a shadow….”
N.A. – I drew this bird on my bedroom wall in a moment of reverie. A moment which lasted 5 hours. It has almost 1.5 m high and 1 m wide. What you see in the image below, in the right corner/bottom, is a corner of my bed. I left that particular corner to see how big the drawing is. 🙂
In reveries
Heart is on flight in freedom
All strings left behind
With eyes to see what it wants to see
Draws life as it wants to live
For ultimate joy in finding itself
a very beautiful poem

It’s okay Monica. Sometimes WP is not perfect. And sometimes, I just miss thing. Have a great Sunday. Hello from El Salvador. They shoot off fireworks here on Sunday mornings. I never see them but I hear them. Usually only a couple at a time.

Da.

A 5-hour “Rêverie”? 🙂 (For once I can put a funny accent on a word)
Very nice result. About stories? The way I work is this: I let the stories come to me. Sometimes, they come complete. Sometimes the beginning comes to me, and I play with it. And let it go. Then for days, weeks, or months, the pieces come flying and assemble themselves. When it’s finished, I sit down to write. 🙂 “A night in Penang” worked like that, by bits and pieces. I believe that the stories are real, just happening somewhere else. 😉

You’re like my father, Brian 🙂 In a positive way, OK? He always pushes me to feed my talents 🙂

It’s a father’s job. To make room for growth, to allow talents to bloom. And also to “kick butt” sometimes for that precise objective. We did that with our daughters. I also did that in my own company with talented young executives. Push them a bit (or a lot) so they could find their way. 🙂

Wow! You have a company. What kind of company, Brian? Can you hire my dad? He just lost his job 😦 He used to work in television for more than 20 years.

I would love to hire him. But I don’t have it anymore. I sold my shares. It was a market research company. So sorry about your Dad. I’m sure he will find something, 20 years of experience is very valuable. Your job is to give him moral support. 🙂 (It can be hard sometimes to go through a job loss) But I’m sure you already do that. Let me know how it goes for your dad. Bz.
