A Marvel of invention,
the people look on proud
as gentleman he makes is way
through the street and crowd
With View of lights and chimney sweep
through the streets he’ll bumble and creep
passing past animals he’ll make them leap
whilst their owners are all fast asleep

Rider is sat on seat – wood and of brass,
awaiting the whistle of peeler to pass
seeing the neighbourhood stare and pass by
as wheels make the feathered birds rise and fly
And as rider moves and bike starts to wobble
he looks out for odd shaped or very loose cobble.
But careful he must be – or else he will fall
So he keeps his head forward, and his body straight and tall.
I’m an evolving writer/landscape photographer from Salford who has taken up poetry after the doctors put me on some enforced house leave. The pics I take are used in the blog or are used to create something for the blog! The blog allows me to play around with ideas – not only poetical, but also in short story form.
