In My Room

Though gloom and doom may surround me,

I feel strangely safe in my own little room

With bookcases lining three of the four walls,

My door opening into a picture-filled hall;

And I am glad my ceiling is white, just right

For mind-painting streams of joyous dreams,

Or just to look up into to unbind my mind

From twaddle webs as I lie on my soft bed,

By the same Author: Profusion of Confusion

My weary head resting on feathered pillow,

Billows of fantasy twirling, swirling around,

Some bound to grab and fly me into the sky

At night without any fright . . . in my room

In my room
