I love to be conquered

Several days ago I’ve read a gorgeous poem wrote by the beautiful Chimp from thelonelyauthorblog.wordpress.com. Its title: “I love you”. You can read it here. These are only few lines:

without you my life’s tragic

cause you provide the magic

.

I loved it but I really didn’t know what to write to the comments. I was so upset because of this. I sat and I thought. But nothing. I read it again. And again. And after several minutes BOOM.

.

Because I’m a woman

I love your sweet words

Although is inhuman

For me to cross swords

I love to be conquered

I love to be loved

But instead of swords

You can do it with words.

Don’t love any duel

Life is enough cruel

Write me some words

Forget about swords

My heart can be yours

Without fighting wars

No blood, wounds and swords

Just tell me the words!

  1. Monica, your poem is awesome! Sometimes I am so moved by something I read that I honestly don’t know how to put into words how that post effected me. I understand! There is a world of emotion that art evokes and sometimes putting words to that emotion is so difficult!! Thank you for this lovely Gift today!!! ❤

    • I’m glad you liked it, Laine. Let’s say it was a moment of inspiration. Of course, after another moment of lack of inspiration. Thank you for your kind words and for your support
      Hugs ❤

  3. Beautiful poem, with lot of meaning in it.
Words is what makes you fall in love, but there are only few of “Monica” kind. So then “Monica” is special.
Because every body else want to end up fighting all the time with/out any reasons.

First line – because I am a woman – blows the mind off.

  4. Wonderful poem Monica. You’re writing extemporized poetry just like me ! Happy to see a fellow poet letting their emotions flow into poetic form straight from the heart ! Cheers 🙂
