This post is dedicated to my dear grandpa from Japan, AshiAkira
Cherry trees are bloomed
Beauty and colors for eyes
Enjoy Sakura!
Yesterday was a special day. I went with my father in Herastrau Park, the biggest park in Bucharest, to see the Sakura Festival. It’s something apart. Those cherry blossoms are so amazing. They are so many and so close one of each other that you can ask yourself if these trees have branches.
Looking at them and admiring them I could hear the silence behind the noise, even though I was surrounded by many people who came especially to see this gorgeous spectacle. All those cherry trees are in a special garden, named Japanese Garden.
To see better the show of Sakura I even did what I do best, I climbed a tree to see the cherry blossoms from above. It was fascinating.
A more than beautiful and touching response from my grandpa, Ashi
Who is towering over the flower?
The one without glasses on
Oh, sorry it’s the tree and standing by it is you
My eyes were so blurred by tears
For a minute I couldn’t see the difference
I’ve not had a granddaughter of my own
So I hadn’t known it was so nice to have one
Especially a one who is far but far more beautiful
Than cherry blossoms in Japan
.
I let you to enjoy this fabulous spectacle of Nature.
Before of that, I invite you to read a beautiful post about the joy of Spring writen by Sarah Katerine, a very new bloger that I just discover. Her post is “It’s finally Spring!“.
They are beautiful

Nu am cuvinte cat de frumos ! Duminica Frumoasa draga mea Mona ! Azi, poate si maine nu voi mai fi atat de activa, mi-a murit catelusa dimineata si….sufletul meu sa injumatatit.

Oh, Doamne, imi pare atat de rau 😦 Stiu cum este. Si eu am pierdut un suflet drag acum cativa ani, catelul pe care l-am gasit in casa atunci cand m-am nascut. Era adorabil.
Sunt alaturi de tine, Ileana ❤
Fie ca sufletelul ei sa se odihneasca in Pace!

Lovely. I understand the Japanese have a special “thing” for cherry blossoms.
Quite justified.
So you have a japanese grandfather? 🙂 Do you speak Japanese?
LikeLiked by 2 people
No… Unfortunately, Ashi is not my natural grandfather, although I would love to be. I met him here on WordPress and we understand very well each other. Like me and you 🙂
No japanese, but a great grandfather in Japan ❤ I would love to learn Japanese some day

Hmmm. So he is an adopted grandfather. How nice. 🙂
(And yes, I agree you and I – seem to – understand each other. For which I am very pleased.) 🙂
Bonne semaine.

PS. If you want to learn Japanese, I think it is feasable at your age. But you would have to start now. By learning one character a day. I understand that japanese is like Mandarin, you need to know 3,500 characters to be able to read the newspaper… OMG.

Wow! 3,500 characters? This means a lot 🙂

Yeah. So you have to start now… 😉

I think I already told you, if you don’t have a professor who can make you to love the language it is not easy to learn 😦

Yes you did mention that. Some teachers are magnificent. In any discipline. And some are morons. Nothing to do but wait ’til the end of the year. “Tant pis.”
