The War with Yourself
If we could accept every part of us, we could control us or to guard us against all the hatred that dwells in us
Imagine that:
“You’re alone in a room. In front of you is a mirror. You see yourself, you recognize yourself… You know you’re always there for yourself, but you do not hear yourself. You try to listen to your inner voice, but there is a war in yourself. You can not hear your thoughts, you feel how they hurt you, but you don’t know what they say. You’re scared, you’re on the edge of madness and disaster. You’re afraid of you.
You look again at yourself in the mirror. It seems that you are fighting with yourself . And you see how you lose in front of your dark side. You’re out of energy and you want to run away… Then, you realize that the bad person in the mirror is the darkness that you want to obeys to you. You realize you do not need to listen to your inner voice to fight against hatred, fear and anger rooted in you.
Whether or not you hear your thoughts, you resist to them, you accept them, because they are part of your whole. You look again to the mirror and you see yourself again… You feel yourself. Your entire body is shaking, the negative side of you is right in front of you… You don’t know what to do, it’s quiet around you. You stay still. She emerges from the mirror and attack you. In that moment you take her in your arms and you squeeze her as hard as you can. You accepted it. It seems that this moment wanted to reunite you with your negative side. To make you understand that you’re complete.”
Whether or not you hear your thoughts, you resist to them, you accept them, because they are part of your whole
If we could accept every part of us, we could control us or to guard us against all the hatred that dwells in us. We all have the power to calm our mind and soul. If we succeed to see what is wrong, we could love the good. We do not need to hear ourselves to understand us. If we were deaf, we would not be afraid of anything. Words that we utter, plays an important role in shaping emotions, but if we can control them, we learn to love them.
I agree. Sometimes, I’ll write something and when I read it back, it is too negative. I rewrite it to give it positive energy. That is the kind of energy I want to send out into the world…and use with myself. Cheers =)

If you’re full with positive energy you can spread positive energy, right?

Yes. And I think it keeps it going because then it comes back to you. Being positive helps you keep feeling positive. 😃

So true Monica. And beautifully written. There’s no light without darkness, no surrender without war. It’s a matter of embracing our whole selves.

Daaa! Bine spus. De cele mai multe ori postam in altcineva decat suntem in realitate.

I love what you say about the need to love all of who we are even our shadow sides. We only get into trouble when we don’t embrace the the darkness in our souls. You have much wisdom to share with us. Thank you!

I think all the people have two sides. It’s like yin and yang, right?

As someone wise once advised: we shake hands with our dragons. This reminds me of that quote. Very nice post dear! We must embrace the dark and the light within us!

Very good. Balanced. An unexpected “embrace”, taking your dark half in your arms.
The mirror theme has been used before, but you actually have material for a short story… Want to try fiction?
Jung, eh? Très bien. I studied Freud for a few years (amongst other things) and have used psychology in half my work. An interesting path…
pe mai tarziu.

Maybe one day I will try fiction, too. Who knows?
I read a lot of Eckhart Tolle 😀
Pe mai tarziu, Brian
