The sky is your limit? Mine is beyond the sky!

In time we will learn to be the people that walk confidently on the street, with that look that shouts: “The sky is your limit? Mine is beyond the sky!” And we will smile like we have the most wonderful day.

We will learn to walk dignified, with our head up, even if we walk through the rain without an umbrella and with baggage. We can be those people who clear up someone’s day with a single smile or a warm and gentle glance.

We are perfect in our imperfection

We can be the people that everyone dreams to be with. Yet, only one lucky guy will be able to hold our hand, proud because we chose him. We can be those people indifferent to gossip, who forgives, who try till succeed.

We can be what we want. We are perfect in our imperfection, and those who loves us they do it for the originality we have.

  1. Subscriu!
Ne crosetam limitele si-apoi ne plangem de ele!
Le depasim indepartand teama ce sta de jur inprejurul nostru precum panza de paianjen!
    Duminica senina!

  2. “We are perfect in our imperfection, and those who loves us they do it for the originality we have.” I love your words. We’re all so different, let’s embrace that. Beautiful post.

  3. If I see somthing perfect…. then I probably either took too much acid or I´m in paradise. By the way you said something about walking with a guy because you chose him. Hold it there Miss! Is not a one way direction, you chose him and he chose you. And beauty in quite some cases are in the eyes of the….don´t know. I do know this, you can appreciate a girl that is pretty on the outside but you might think that she is not beautiful in the sense of being with her because you see other type of beauty characteristics in some other less attractive on the outside girl. But you have to aknowledge that some are ugly and some are pretty stetically that is. Then what characteristics you find beautiful as a hole in that person is a different matter.

  4. When I was growing up in the 1970s there was a dance group on TV called Pan’s People. I saw a vintage clip of them years later in the company of much younger women who commented that they were fat. They weren’t fat, they just weren’t super-skinny the way female “role models” seem to have to be these days. Just like Marilyn, they were beautiful. All healthy body shapes are good; be who you are (in your case you sound like a sensible young woman!)

  5. (Read your “Imperfection is originality” and here is a poem that came up to mind in response. Forgive me it’s rather long:)

On the high top of the mountain was a temple
No one knows who had built it
But a rumor had it that a goddess stood inside the temple

In her hands she held a cup of sweet nectar

The rumor also had it that whosoever reached her and drank the nectar
Would become the goddess’s most beloved one to live with her forever
Who would not want to reach her? And there was a man who was determined

He decided to spend all his life if he had to to find the goddess and drink the nectar

But there wasn’t even a clear path to the temple but only wilderness
Years of hard effort but he could not even find a right path to the temple
He became too old to climb through the wilderness and he finally fell on the way

Good for him, the next morning a local girl climbed up the mountain on his way

The girl was collecting fallen twigs for her fireplace and found him
She kneeled to the ground by him and placed his head on her laps
She collected morning dews from grass leaves around her on her palm

And she poured the water into his mouth

The water eventually flowed deep down into his throat
It was as sweet as or even sweeter than the goddess’s nectar
He slowly opened his eyes and blearily saw her eyes watching him
He said but almost inaudibly, “Oh, my goddess! Here I am.”

  6. Perfection is clearly overrated. I love imperfecton, for me most of the imperfect things in life are semantically perfect… It is just a matter of linguistic interpretation of the life that surround us. What others consider perfect, it makes me puke.
Greetings from Ovied, Asturias, Spain… and have an imperfect Sunday!!

  7. Nice post, Monica…It is the imperfections that make us real and who we are. That goes for both physical imperfections and imperfections in our character. But those make us perfectly who we are, right? Cheers!
