Al Capone și lasagna – Al Capone and lasagna

.

A week before we go to the mountains I already knew what I want to eat when we will be there. I wanted lasagna and I told this to my father. Because I knew that at Dragului restaurant it’s prepared excellent.

So, as soon as we arrived at Predeal, after we checked in (see post here) we went straight to the restaurant. And what do you think I ate? A huge lasagna.

In the coming days we had a real feast, too. The next day I struggled with some delicious grilled pork ribs with fries and an exceptional chili sauce.

In the last day we chose to eat something easier. So we enjoyed an Al Capone chicken and a Bulgarian salad.

Besides the gastronomic feast at this restaurant we had an absolutely fantastic treatment for Romania. The service is impeccable and the people very careful with you from the moment you step in. They all smile to you and their smile is not fake. I knew this because this is why we go to this restaurant for 8 years. See post from last year: How to be treated like a princess…

  1. It’s sweet how you and your dad have such a wonderful relationship! The food looks so delicious. 😋 Al Capone was a gangster in America back in the 1930’s. Is that a name of the restaurant or the lasagna dish?

  2. Looks delicious, Mon! Yeah, not every restaurant can provide good service and treat you as a queen, however, it should be, because the more people, the better profits, sometimes I just do not understand what do the owners think about!

    • It was delicious, Ann 🙂 Normally I eat like a sparrow, as my dad say, but there… I ate like a bull. Probably because of their services, too. I really felt like a princess 🙂
Thanks for your beautiful words, Ann

  4. OMG…It looks and sounds great. I love lasagna and pork ribs. BBQ is one of my favorites. You have some tasty looking fries there also, my friend. If I were there, I hope you would share with me. =)
Al Capone Chicken? Interesting. Do you know who Al Capone was? Cheers! =)

  5. Yum yum yum! Lasagna is one of my favorite dishes. Mum used to make the best lasagne in the world. She would spend an entire day baking trays of it and we would go home and devour it. You’ve made me hungry now Monica! 🙂
