No, I don’t think we have it here. I know it though. When I was a student in the US, they used it for Christmas decoration. Girls are supposed to kiss boys who are standing under the mistletoe but it’s hidden somewhere. I remember I “accidentally” stood under it without knowing the custom at a party. And you know what happened to a very shy foreign boy then. 🙂
You’re welcome, dear Arohii! I will be the happiest girl in the world tonight. I am going to the party with my daddy 🙂 ❤ So, no kisses, but happiness 🙂 I wish you all the happiness in the World ❤
I never knew it would bring luck…Thank you for the knowledge and lovely Haiku…Hmmmm, they sell mistletoe here at Christmas …I wonder if there is any left. A bit of luck would be a good thing to start the New Year. Have fun tonight!
I think you just need to parcel us a mistletoe, so we could be lucky too.. :-p anyways this must be a saying of an old folk… anyways thanks to share this 🙂

Really? No mistletoe in Japan? I am sorry, Ashi 😦 But the Haiku is beautiful, even if it’s sad
