Romania is one of the world’s largest wine producers and sixth largest among European countries – in 2015 it produced around 275.7 million hectolitres of wine. In recent years, Romania has attracted many European business people and wine buyers, due to the affordable prices of both vineyards and wines compared to other wine producing nations such as France, Germany, and Italy.

Monica. I was so upset with the way people casually like your post without reading it. My post was liked by some without knowing that it was a case of burglary with me and not a fiction. Anyway that’s how the life goes.

How interesting! I never think of wine and Romania together. In fact, the other night, I tramped all through the big wine shop looking for some wines for a family gathering today and don’t know that I saw any Romanian vintages. I’m curious if we import any here. Cheers – Happy Weekend! =)

I’ll explore the international section of my local wine store the next time that I shop. Italy, France and Spain get most of the coverage in the wine news, so it’ll be interesting to try something different. Thanks!
