Sweet Walnut Bread known as “cozonac cu nuca” is a traditional Romanian sweet bread made with raisins and walnuts.
This is a favorite at every Christmas in Romania and you will find it on everyone’s table wherever you go. And it’s really delicious.
You can find the recipe here, on Jo Cooks’s site.
I hope you will enjoy it 🙂

YES pleeeeaaaaassssseeee! I would love to eat walnut bread. I wish I could get walnuts here, but they are soooooooo expensive. Maybe I’ll have to splurge one day and try out this recipe.
Thanks for sharing it, and please have a wonderful Sunday and week.

Hmmmm…They are very far away (hundreds of miles). I did get referred to a Hungarian Bakery in a nearby city that has a similar looking walnut bread. This may have to suffice until I am in New York or Georgia….of course, just going to Romania still remains an option 😉

Can be a good choice the hungarian bakery. They are our neighbours and they know how to do it. About visiting Romania, this is always a good option 🙂

Same here – in Slovenia. It’s called “potica” and Christmas is not complete without it.

Yes, I know is not complete. I am glad you know how to do it and, of course, how to eat it 🙂
