Many things we can learn from sport. I am an athlete and I like that. Those who did not make sport for performance will hardly understand what I write now…
Doing sport is incredible. It’s nice, it’s healthy, but requires much work, suffering, talent and dedication. We all can see the beauty of sport, but not all understand the truth behind the training. Training means physical and mental stress, means more work and talent, but it also means suffering and pain.
Why do I say this? For the simple fact that we, the athletes, we want performance, we want our name to be heard around the world and we want to be proud for what we do.
Our desires are large and sometimes seem impossible, but as I learned… We don’t give up! We work, we cry, we risk… We train, we learn, we win and lose. We are injured but we go back in the game to fulfill our dream.
I’ve played volleyball for 5 years and I’ve worked hard to reach the performance. Over a year I was out because of the injuries. I underwent surgery, I sat in a wheelchair, I used crutches… Everything… I did everything to see my dream come true. I’ve suffered, I was disappointed by myself because I couldn’t do more.
Not everyone knows how it feels to cry because of a hard training that you couldn’t face it… or to lose a match after having worked a year for the competition. It’s hard to always be on the road, in camps and tournaments… But worth it.
It worth to be a true athlete. Sports life is very beautiful. You meet new beautiful people, see the world, you find out the world secrets… And when you see that your effort put you on the podium… you forget all the tears, sleepless nights, emotions and efforts you have made till that moment.
Love this! You’re so sexyyy! 🙂

I don’t think Zumba counts as a sport, but we are quite competitive in class! Great post.

If you move your body or shake it, is sport. Not necessarily for performance. Right? Feels good 🙂
